Pretty basic title, Eyes, most people have them, most have 2 of em, some people for various reasons have less. I, fortunatly, am in the majority, and also, like most people, mine are crappy (due to the sheer ammount of opticians out there, it seems like most peoples eyes aint 100%).
Anyway, went to the opticians today to have them tested, did the normal bit, read letters, get light shined in eyes while looking in various directions only to get a surprise at the end. "Congratulations" I'm told, "You're eyes are not as bad as last time". Frankly this is a bit of a shock, as I thought that eyes got worse as you get older. Turns out that is true and the way that they get worse is that the older you get the more long sighted you get, and since I am severly short sighted this is a plus.
The bad news of my eyes getting better is that I did qualify for free eye tests, I still do, but now I am exactly on the cut off point.
The good news, is that if I stay alive for another 50 or 60 years, I'll probably end up with 20/20 vision.
So, at long last I've found a benefit of getting older, improving eyes, it isn't much, but it will certainly do until I find a more exciting one.
